I am excited to serve as the Assistant Dean for Diversity and Global Engagement in the College of education at Purdue university. As a lifelong learner for inclusivity, equity, and intercultural understanding, I am dedicated to helping foster a college environment where we feel valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
At the College of Education, we recognize the transformative power of diversity and believe that embracing a global mindset enriches the educational experience for everyone. Our commitment to diversity encompasses a wide range of perspectives, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status, and abilities. We celebrate the unique strengths and contributions each person brings to our vibrant community.
Through strategic partnerships and collaborative initiatives, we actively engage with universities, organizations, and communities around the world. Our goal is to foster meaningful connections, promote global citizenship, and inspire cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration. By facilitating opportunities for expanding horizons, we aim to equip our students, faculty and staff to navigate an interconnected, diverse world and tackle global challenges.
Within our college, we strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment for students, faculty, and staff. We offer resources, programs, and services that promote cultural competency, intercultural dialogue, and personal growth. Our team (with the COE diversity committee and Office of Student Success and Global Engagement at Academic Services) works diligently to support every individual so they have access to the support they need to succeed academically, professionally and personally.
