Dr. Amanda Case elected as NPEA Advisory Board member

Dr. Amanda Case, Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology in Purdue University’s College of Education, was recently elected as an Advisory Board member for the National Partnership for Educational Access (NPEA).

NPEA is an initiative of the Steppingstone Foundation, which assists students from historically marginalized communities to access, navigate, and graduate from college. As a member organization, NPEA connects people, practices, and innovations essential for eliminating barriers to educational access and college and career success for underserved students.

Through their annual conference, monthly newsletters, professional development webinars, and Data Counts program, NPEA works to ensure practitioners have the resources they require to move institutions towards educational equity. Members of the Advisory Board serve as ambassadors to this mission, guiding the organization in strategic initiatives.

“NPEA does amazing work in the community, allowing practitioners in formal and informal education settings to learn from one another in order to increase the collective support available for youth success,” said Dr. Case. “The connections I have made as a member of NPEA for the past decade have been crucial to my own work; I am excited to give back to such a dynamic organization.”

NPEA Advisory Board members work together to create possible ways for all students to have access to high-quality learning opportunities and to thrive at every phase of their unique educational journeys.
