Dr. Kristen Seward named 2021-22 Scholarship of Engagement Fellow

Congratulations to Dr. Kristen Seward, recently announced as a 2021-22 Scholarship of Engagement Fellow. Dr. Seward is a clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Studies, and is Associate Director of the Gifted Education Resource Institute (GERI) and High-ability Certificate/Licensure Advisor. 

The purpose of the Scholarship of Engagement Fellows Program is to foster the development of the scholarship of engagement for faculty throughout the Purdue system in support of the promotion and/or tenure process. Faculty members from the Purdue system, at the rank of assistant or associate professor, are chosen to participate in the program, which focuses on: (1) understanding the scholarship of engagement; (2) documenting impact; and (3) evaluating impact.

Fellows will work with a panel of faculty members from the Purdue system that are recognized as engaged scholars. Dr. Patricia Morita-Mullaney, Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, will serve as a mentor during 2021-22.
