The non-degree licensure program in Career and Technical Education (CTE) prepares leaders who are concerned with education and training that enables youth and adults to pursue their careers who also wish to become licensed in the state of Indiana as a Director of Career and Technical Education.
An applicant needs to have one of the following to be eligible for the Director of CTE license. Candidates must hold one of the following licenses:
- (A) An initial, standard, provisional, proficient, or accomplished practitioner license with at least one (1) of the content areas in career and technical education.
- (B) A workplace specialist II license with two (2) years of full-time teaching experience in an accredited vocational school in the grade level and vocational content area listed on the license.
- (C) An administrator’s license (Building Level Administrator, Superintendent, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, or Director of Exceptional Needs).”
There are several other licensure requirements as well, and a Transcript Evaluation Credential Review (TECR) by Purdue’s Office of Teacher Education and Licensure is required for admission and outlines the additional requirements for licensure in the area of Director of CTE.
This online program has rolling admission. Applications must be fully complete and submitted (including all required materials) and all application fees paid prior to the deadline in order for applications to be considered and reviewed.
