We invite incoming high school sophomores through seniors to Purdue University’s campus for PROJECT TEACH — a five-day residential program immersed in the teaching profession. The twenty-six selected students will learn what it takes to become professional educators in the challenging and rewarding field of teaching all while living on campus and receiving an authentic college experience here at Purdue University.

Program Requirements
Each summer, students in the program will be invited back to campus to take the next step in their academic success. In addition, they will participate in teacher education recruitment programs throughout the school year.

PROGRAM GOALS
- Recruit underrepresented minority students who are interested in teaching, while also showcasing Purdue student life and campus experiences
- Teach students leadership skills, academics, and pathways within the teaching profession
- Give participants the tools to grow and continue on as leaders and scholars within the teaching profession
- Create a direct pipeline for Indiana underrepresented minority students interested in teacher education
- Bridge peer mentorship between high school students and our current Purdue students
