Letters of Recommendations
Unless otherwise stated all degrees require 3 letters of recommendation. Please have the names and email addresses of your recommenders ready. Instructions will be emailed to your recommenders on how to upload the letters directly to your application.
Statement of Purpose
All programs require a 300 – 500 word essay describing your educational and career goals. It is good to articulate how you think the program you are applying will help you obtain your goals.
Resume
A current resume can be uploaded so you only need to put the most current employer into the system.
Standardized Test Scores
English Proficiency
International degree-seeking applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit proof of English proficiency.
The Office of Graduate Admissions accepts the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic scores for admission. Note: If you have not done so already, request that ETS send your scores electronically to the Purdue University Graduate Admissions using the appropriate code.
Transcript Evaluation and Credential Review
All programs that lead to initial or an additional licensure in the state of Indiana need to have the Transcript Evaluation and Credential Review before the application is complete. This process can take 4 – 6 weeks. Please do this at the same time you submit your application. Programs have varying deadlines, please be sure to consult each programs deadline.
Standardized Test Scores
Online degree programs do not require standardized exams. Some residential and hybrid graduate programs can require the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). If you have not done so already, request that ETS send your scores electronically to Purdue University Graduate Admissions using the appropriate code for the campus to which you are applying. Please check with onlineadmissions@purdue.edu if you have questions.
Non-Refundable Application Fee
All degree programs require an application fee. Non-degree or licensure programs do not require an application fee. Please have your credit card available.
