Workshop: Integrating social justice standards into our courses

How do you integrate social justice, equity, and diversity into your courses for preservice teachers? Come discuss over snacks!

• We invite you to read the article, Confronting Bias with Children’s Literature, and discuss how we can apply it to our own courses.
• We ask that you review the Social Justice Standards from Learning for Equity, and consider how they fit into this work.

You are invited to come tell us how we integrate social justice into our courses in our new Elementary Education program on Friday 10/21 from 12-1pm in Beering B261. We want to hear from instructors in years 1-4 of the program.
