Program Overview
The graduate certificate program in career and technical education prepares leaders who are concerned with education and training that enables youth and adults to pursue their careers. The different concentrations include:
- Advanced Manufacturing Education

- Career Pathways
- Generalizable Skills Instruction
- Special Needs Populations
- Work-Based Learning
Careers
The graduate program is designed to prepare persons for careers in teacher education, research and evaluation, career and technical education administration, secondary and post-secondary teaching, local and state agencies (e.g., government), and public and private organizations (e.g., business/industry, consultants).
The program serves professionals from:

Courses
Students spend an average of 15 hours a week on homework.

**The cost of attending Purdue varies depending on where you choose to live, enrollment in a specific program or college, food and travel expenses, and other variables. Admissions
The program offers a summer start and is taught in an online synchronous manner.
Deadline to apply for scholarships is March 18, 2024.
Deadline for Summer 2024 application is April 1, 2024.

- Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from an accredited college or university in the United States.

If you are interested in a scholarship, please apply for the scholarship before completing the application. For scholarship consideration:
Applicants for the LDP program must hold a full-time teaching, service, supervisory, or administrative position associated with providing instruction and/or services to youth or adults.
Requirements:
- Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from an accredited college or university in the United States.
- Each applicant must submit three letters of recommendation.
