Students typically—though not exclusively—seek a Master’s Degree in Agricultural and Extension Education in order to enhance their practice as secondary Agricultural and Extension teachers. Though a Master’s degree from any institution might serve the purpose of boosting salaries for teachers working in districts that (still) provide incentives for advanced degrees, a degree from Purdue conveys a level of integrity and rigor that both students and employers find meaningful and valuable.
This residential program has rolling admission. Applications must be fully complete and submitted (including all required materials) and all application fees paid prior to the deadline in order for applications to be considered and reviewed. Application Deadlines

Agricultural and Extension Education Courses
9 credit hours
Agricultural and Extension Education students are required to take 9 credits of coursework focused on Agricultural and Extension Education or related topics of study. Students typically draw from graduate courses offered by the Department of Agricultural Sciences Education and Communication (ASEC courses at the 500 or 600 level). Students can also take undergraduate Agricultural Education methods courses at the graduate level by completing extra projects that are grad-level-worthy. These classes are selected in consultation with your major professor.

Admissions
In addition to a submitted application (and any applicable application fees paid), the following materials are required for admission consideration, and all completed materials must be submitted by the application deadline in order for an application to be considered complete and forwarded on to faculty and the Purdue Graduate School for review.
