Dr. David Paredes has been teaching courses on education technology, leadership and change since 2008. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of corporate learning and development and has held a variety of leadership positions in financial services and consulting. He has overseen the training component of several major organizational change initiatives including company acquisitions and system implementations. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Drexel University in 2011 where his dissertation studied the effects of constructivist instructional strategies on employees’ readiness for major organizational change. In addition to his Ph.D., he has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and a graduate degree in Instructional Systems Design from Penn State. He served in the United States Air Force. Dr. Paredes has a keen interest in studying individuals’ motivations for making radical personal changes and how this can stimulate creative thinking.
