Sociological Imaginations Workshop Led by Dr. Leakhena Nou

Open to Graduate Students

This workshop seeks to learn firsthand experiences from Dr. Nou’s application of public sociology in action, in pursuit of individual and collective reparative justice for Cambodians nearly 50 years after the Khmer Rouge genocide. Through an inclusive, global approach in an internationalized framework, we will explore the impact of Dr. Nou’s scholarship on human rights and connections between and among structures of power, human agency, human rights, and social justice at the local, national, global, and transnational levels.

Sponsored by: Purdue Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center (AAARCC), in collaboration with the College of Education and Department of Sociology
