Below are several lists of community centers and resources – food assistance, housing assistance, etc. – compiled by local organizations.

  • Indiana 211 – available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to connect Indiana residents with help and answers from thousands of health and human services agencies
  • United Way Community Resource Guide – list of community resources for mental health, childcare, medical, food, housing and utilities, education, etc.
  • Bauer Family Resources – list of community services for childcare, counseling, clothing, food, health, legal assistance, transportation, etc.
  • Lafayette Urban Ministry (LUM) – Financial Assistance, After School Child Care, Summer Camp, Food Assistance, Emergency Shelter, etc.
  • YWCA of Lafayette – emergency shelter, women’s wellness, legal advocacy, violence prevention, support groups
  • WorkOne List of Tippecanoe Area Resources – childcare, clothing, education, employment agencies, financial assistance, food assistance, housing, mental health, support groups, health and wellness, transportation

Disability Resource Center (DRC) – Providing equal access for students at Purdue. Request accommodations, peer mentor program, testing services, etc.

Students with insurance are encouraged to contact the provider prior to scheduling a visit/treatment to ensure that the provider is in-network for Purdue Anthem insurance. OGSPS Office of Professional Development – online resources, workshops, competitions, newsletters, and more. This is a great way for students to build their resume, knowledge, and relationships while at Purdue.

The Dorothy Stratton Veteran and Military Success Center is composed of student and staff space in the Purdue Memorial Union where students can receive guidance about and access to military-related education benefits, opportunities for personal and professional development, and camaraderie with their peers.
