The Purdue Series on Corporate Citizenship and Ethics is the result of a unique and ongoing collaboration between Purdue University’s College of Education James F. Ackerman Center for Democratic Citizenship and Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business.

Series Overview

The Purdue Series on Corporate Citizenship and Ethics is the result of a unique and ongoing collaboration between Purdue University’s College of Education James F. Ackerman Center for Democratic Citizenship and Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business. Speakers chosen from a variety of disciplines investigate the various aspects of business ethics and the role citizens play in corporate ethics, providing a well-rounded overview of the effects of corporate ethics upon business, the economy, and society as a whole.

Since 2003, speakers have presented on a wide range of topics. Past speakers have included U.S. Senators and Representatives, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, a Nobel Prize winner, social entrepreneurs, and best-selling authors. More than 11,000 people have attended lectures in the Series. The Ackerman Center receives support for the Series from Purdue Federal Credit Union.

All events are free and open to the public.Civics is more than learning history and government—it requires putting that understanding into ACTION as engaged citizens. Resources from the Center for Civic Education enhanced by Indiana specific and differentiated support materials created by the Ackerman Center create a menu of options for designing YOUR 6th grade Civics Course.
