Problem-Solvers: Math in the World Around Us
Grades 7-8
Mathematics is a form of human intuition. We use mathematical thinking all the time to solve problems in our lives: For example, is it wise or foolish for a restaurant owner to swap two 8-inch pizzas for one 12-inch pizza? Or how could you measure the height of your house’s roof when there’s no tape measure long enough? Let’s think like mathematicians to solve real-world problems using algebra and geometry and strengthen our powers of intuition!!
