The College of Education will hold a free Student Teacher Professional Development Day to help Purdue full-time student teachers prepare for the next steps in their teaching careers on March 14.

Emmanuel Babalola, a 2024 Engagement and Service-Learning Summit speaker and a third year PhD student specializing in Learning, Design, and Technology, shares his heart to nurture young learners in STEM and to impact communities.

On April 12, 2024, the Purdue Center for Rural Research, Education and Outreach will hold its annual Rural Education Summit at Made@Plainfield near Indianapolis.

Purdue’s interdisciplinary approach is overseen by Jenna Rickus, vice provost for teaching and learning, and the grant is co-led by Christy Wessel Powell, associate professor of literacy education and the director of the Center for Literacy and Language Education and Research, and Catherine (Cammie) McBride, professor of human development and family science and HHS associate dean for research.

To better meet the needs of today’s professional educators, the Learning Development Program in Career and Technical Education professional development courses are now available as one 9-credit, online graduate certificate.
