WFYI’s Lee Gaines interviewed Prof. Bill Watson about how artificial intelligence could benefit teachers and students, the challenges it poses, and how it could transform the educational landscape.

College of Education students, faculty and staff did innovative research, received awards and research funding, and had an all-around great year as we continued preparing Boilermaker Educators and supporting educators in Indiana and beyond!

In December, the College of Education celebrated the retirements of Robin Cunningham and Karen George-Friedman. Both provided outstanding service to the College over the past decade and more.

More than 20 Boilermaker Educator undergraduates participated in educational research projects in Purdue University’s 2024 Fall Undergraduate Research Expo, and three won poster awards.

Rebekah Hammack was chosen to serve on a congressionally mandated National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) committee.

The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings listed Purdue University’s College of Education as #22 in the US for earning an education degree and #16 among U.S. public universities – the highest ranked university in Indiana.
