Dr. Grimmet is a Clinical Associate Professor and Coordinator of Purdue University’s Online Special Education Program. Double majoring in elementary and special education, she received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, a master’s degree in special education (severe disabilities) from Ball State University, and her doctoral degree from Indiana University-Bloomington.

Dr. Grimmet’s research interests include teacher preparation, transition, and quality of life of adults with intellectual disability. With more than 25 years of experience in the profession, she firmly believes that in order to truly invest in our students, we must first invest in our teachers!
