Profile
Kathy Martin is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Elementary Education and Literacy & Language Education, as well as a former classroom teacher and Title I/English Learners Director in a small urban school district. She is currently coordinating the Year 3 field experience and seminar for K-2 and 3-6 methods courses. Her current research investigates how preservice teachers perceive the value of the teaching feedback they receive from their field supervisors during their junior-year placements. She is also exploring the experiences of both community volunteers and Purdue preservice teachers who assist in a local kindergarten classroom, with a focus on understanding what each group finds most beneficial about their involvement.
