Research & Publications
Dr. Brown’s research centers on collaborative online learning environments, with a specific focus on teaching presence and the application of the Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework. She is particularly interested in how distributed teaching presence can increase learner engagement and promote deeper interaction in online courses. In addition to this focus, her work also explores how instructional designers are prepared to support the development of effective and meaningful online learning experiences.
