Profile

Heather began her career at Purdue in November 2021. Serving as the administrative assistant in the Ackerman Center for Democratic Citizenship in the College of Education, she helps plan and organize Project Citizen, a program that teaches local high school students how government and public policy work and how to be competent and responsible citizens. Constitution Day is also an event that Heather assists in planning and organizing. Constitution Day is celebrated in the PMU every September 17th as we recognize the 1787 signing of the US Constitution.

Heather is also the administrative assistant for Social Studies Education as well as Math Education. An additional program, Career and Technical Education, has been a large part of Heather’s duties; however, with the retirement of Dr. James Greenan, that department is currently on pause.

Heather and her husband have two sons. Her oldest son, Benjamin, is in the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Purdue. Her youngest son, Nathan, is a freshman at Purdue studying Finance in the Daniels School of Business and will ultimately pursue a business law degree. She enjoys spending lots of time with her husband and sons.
