Adrie A. Koehler is an associate professor in the Learning Design and Technology program in Purdue’s College of Education, where she focuses on preparing undergraduate and graduate students to design educational experiences in blended and online environments and meaningfully integrate technology. Prior to pursuing a career in higher education, she worked as a high school business teacher.

Research & Publications

Adrie’s research considers teaching and learning as a problem-solving endeavor across face-to-face, blended, and online environments to inform best practices. Specifically, based on the experiences of experts and novices, she examines the problem solving that happens when designing, facilitating, leading, navigating, and learning across modalities, including the use of emerging technologies (like social media).
